This article will show you how to connect your ResNexus account to BookOutdoors so that availability, rates and reservations are synced in real-time.
IMPORTANT: BookOutdoors requires the use of Unit Groups in ResNexus. See Step 5 below for details.
- Start by signing in to your ResNexus account.
- Navigate to the settings page and select Direct Connect. Click the blue Add Channel button.
- Select the yellow "Add Channel" button below the BookOutdoors logo.
- Click "Register" or "Connect" to confirm you want to add BookOutdoors.

REQUIRED: Create unit groups (we call them site types in BookOutdoors). Unit groups categorize the units (sites) that are within them and make it easy for guests to book the right type of unit/site. For example, you may have a unit group called "Tents Sites" and all the tent campsite units that fit this description would be included in this unit group.
- Click the blue "Create Group" button.
- Enter a name for the group (ex. "50 Amp Full Hook Up Pull-Through"), then select the checkboxes for all the Units that fit into this unit group. Click "Save" when done.
- Repeat Step 5.1 and 5.2 to create more unit groups until all the units are categorized into groups.
- Click the blue "Create Group" button.
- Configure any channel settings using the settings tab on the right side of the page. This includes the option to send confirmation emails for channel reservations, which we recommend turning OFF since BookOutdoors already sends a confirmation email.
- Now BookOutdoors will be able to pull in your property and unit group information. Notify us at partners@bookoutdoors.com once the steps above are complete.
